Who are you, what country do you come from and what is your job title?

Hello! My name is Idoia Pérez and I come from northern Spain, but for the past 5 years I have been leaving in Helsinki. I am the Product Manager of Data Services.

What do you like most about your job?

The chance to reinvent an industry. The energy industry has never been as focused on data as it is today, and we have the opportunity to drive that change.

What is the hardest part of your job?

Understanding the business logic, requirements and needs of the energy sector while trying to change the mindset of an industry that was used to receive data for free.

What is the best thing about working in Nord Pool?

All the people I get to work with. Everyone is ready to give you a hand, have a call to explain to you whatever is needed and answer any questions.

What is the most exciting challenge you have had during your time at Nord Pool?

Onboarding during COVID times and planning the launch of the Data Portal within 3 months of joining Nord Pool.

What motivates you?

I am excited to discover the ins and outs of the power market and to improve and grow data services.

What do you think about working in the energy sector?

It is a mix of old-school and innovative solutions (and people). It is a thrilling time to be part of the future of the energy sector.
